Safety

Nobody sees you until you say so.

Four things are true of every account, every table and every conversation. None of them is a setting.

  • Verified, 18 or over

Every account is tied to a UofT email before anything else happens. One account per person, and it has to be you.

  • Public places, set times

Every table is in a public place at a set time. You always know where you're going and when, and so does everyone else at the table.

  • Seats, never faces

There's nothing to scroll and nobody to message cold. Listings show the activity and the seats left, never who's coming. In a conversation, your name and photo stay hidden until two yeses.

  • Report in one tap, read by a person

During or after any table or conversation. Blocking is instant and permanent: you're never seated together or paired again, and blocks survive deleting your account.

Your data

  • Calls are never recorded.
  • Text conversations are deleted on a fixed schedule.
  • Your messages never go into logs or analytics.
  • We don't touch your contacts, location or calendar.
  • Delete your account any time; safety records are kept so other people's blocks still work.

When something goes wrong

  • HARASSMENT
  • HATE
  • SEXUAL CONTENT
  • THREATS
  • IMPERSONATION

Serious harm is a ban on the first confirmed report. Anything you'd rather say in writing goes to [email protected].
